NHS Dentistry

An interactive course offering formal training to GDPs new to the NHS or a timely update for current NHS dental performers.

The course will help an understanding of the common pitfalls and grey areas of the NHS regulations which have been notoriously difficult to interpret.

Falling foul of the NHS regulations can lead to financial loss and potential referral to the GDC.

This interactive one-day course will offer formal training to practitioners who are new to the NHS system and those who require an update with the current system (introduced in 2006).

Learning objectives:

• Understand how NHS performers are monitored and performance managed
• Understand the legislation in respect to the delivery of NHS treatments and claims
• Appreciate real cases in respect to misinterpretation of the NHS regulations
• Understand the pitfalls of the NHS regulations
• Appreciate the Dental Assurance Framework and the ‘Powys’ judgement

This 1 day course is designed for all dental registrants and aims to provide participants with the latest information regarding best NHS practice.
