Biographie
Graduated from the National University of Singapore (BDS), where he was awarded the University Bronze Medal. He obtained his postgraduate qualifications from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons London (DGDP) and Edinburgh (MGDS). He also holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Management (Wales) and Grad Cert in Health Economics (Aberdeen) and Medical Informatics (RCS Edin).After working as a Dental Officer with the Ministry of Health, he joined Drs Tay and Partners Dental Surgeons/TP Dental Surgeons Pte Ltd and became a Senior Partner/Director until 2011. He is Past Chairman, Medical Alumni Association Southern Branch and Past President of Prosthodontic Society, Singapore. He is a founding member of the Asian Academy of Prosthodontics. Currently a Fellow and member of the Executive Committee and Council of the International College of Dentists Section XV.He was a Member of the Singapore Dental Board/Singapore Dental Council 1997/2000 and continued to serve in various capacities through the years, recognized with several Long Service Awards from the Ministry of Health.In the field of implant dentistry, he is a Past Chairman and President of the Asian Oral Implant Academy. Currently Vice President of the Hong Kong Society of Oral Implantology and Fellow, Diplomate & Ambassador with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.Dr Leung is an appointed adjunct teaching staff at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and course supervisor of the NUS Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology and the J W University of Frankfurt Master in Oral Implantology programs. He was also a visiting lecturer/professor at several dental schools in Thailand and the Philippines. He was a member of the Editorial Board of the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, a reviewer of the Hong Kong Dental Journal and was on the editorial board of the Quintessence International (Asia) Journal. Currently he is a member on the Editorial Review Board of the International Journal of Prosthodontics.He has also been active in community services and was awarded the Public Service Star (BBM) by the Singapore government for his contribution to the Nation.
