Biographie
Dr Philippe Van Steenberghe is a native of the French-speaking part of Belgium. He earned his DDS degree and specialized in orthodontics at ULB (Free university of Brussels). Over the following fifteen years he was active in the education of students in orthodontic specialization. Dr Philippe Van Steenberghe has developed a private practice in Lessines, Belgium, called Ortho Team, in which he works with four other orthodontists. He also created and developed the orthodontic department in St. Pierre university hospital, Brussels. He currently leads a team of 7 orthodontists who work closely with other specialists, such as pedodontists and maxillo-facial surgeons. He is a member of the World Federation of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Belgian Orthodontic Society, the French Orthodontic Society, the Belgian Society of Dental Medicine, and the Society of French-Speaking Orthodontists. As an independent open-minded "critical thinker", Dr Van Steenberghe has been involved in sharing his knowledge and experience through courses, lectures, and conferences, both in Belgium and abroad since 1995. Dr Van Steenberghe is well-known for his expertise in Class II orthopeadic treatments, ortho-surgery, the use of digital technologies, ... He prefers to describe himself as a "lego-player", able to select and integrate the different relevant parts of the puzzle to elaborate the best treatment for each patient: one which is simple, efficient and comfortable, and includes humanistic and multidisciplinary aspects.
