Dr Wiebe DERKSEN

Wiebe D.C. Derksen graduated dentistry Cum Laude in 2010 at the University of Groningen. In 2012 he started a PhD project at ACTA (Academic Center of Dentistry Amsterdam) on the digitalization in implant dentistry. In 2015 he graduated the 3-year postgraduate program “Oral Implantology and Implant Prosthodontics” at ACTA. He is co-author of the current 5th ITI-Consensus Review on Computer Guided Surgery, chairman of the Dutch Society of Young Implantologists, editor of Quality Practice dental journal, was appointed the ITI-Clinical Research Grant in 2013, became ITI Fellow in 2015 and he was awarded the 1st prize in the 3M European Talent Award in the category: Scientific Research in 2015. His expertise and research focus on guided surgery, intra-oral scanning, abutment choices, CAD/CAM and chairside (implant) restorations. He is an international lecturer in the field of digital implant dentistry.
